Projects

This is a detailed recollection of various personal projects I've worked on. For a description of projects I've worked on as a part of my career, please see the experience page.

Splatto Compiler
After competing successfully at the Canada Wide Science Fair (CWSF) in 2002, I wanted to make a large impression the following year considering it would be my graduation year. For the 2003 installment in Calgary, AB, I invented a scripting language and a compiler in visual basic and assembly. The application of this project was set up such that it was an easy way to teach someone an introduction to programming concepts. However, the real purpose of the project, CWSF aside, was to put to use the assembly skills I had been studying. For more on the Splatto Compiler project, have a look at the project proposal. Screengrabs: Main GUI, Color Text example, GoToXY example, Read example.

International Summer Science Institute
My study time at the Weizmann Institute of Science was a result of a special award awarded at CWSF 2003 for my project Splatto Compiler.Click here to see the project report on my work at this school.

Destination Unknown
Destination: Unknown was a 2D RPG game made in script with a visual GUI editor using RPG Maker 2000. It was unique in that it was a parody of RPG games, but also of course characterized every aspect of a role playing game. The project is unfinished and will remain that way. As it currently stands, there is approx. 10 hours of game play created.
